During its first years, St. Raphael Opportunity Center was much dependent on financial support from abroad.
But during the last two decades Taiwan has become wealthier. Today, government allowances cover approximately one third of all our expenses; another third comes from the clients' tuition, which depending on their families' financial situation is subsidized by the government; and the rest, at present over NT$ 20,000,000 (or 420,000€ / 660,000 US$) per year, has to be raised by St. Raphael.
Since this is a very heavy burden, we have to work hard in order to find more individual and corporate supporters.
Without the generous support of many St. Raphael couldn't continue its services.
